Jesus' Use of the Scriptures
Jesus had a master's mastery of the Scriptures, what we call the Old Testament. He often quoted and paraphrased them, as recorded in the Gospels. 1) His use of Scripture is a lesson study for our own use of the Bible.

1)
It is reasonable to assume Jesus' use of Scripture extended well beyond what is found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They were limited by hand written documents that had to be hand copied. With our modern tools the record of His ministry of 3 1/2 years, the prophetic half-week, would surely fill volumes and volumes.
